The fashion company Betty Barclay Group is building a new logistics center for the complete handling of flat goods at its headquarters in Nußloch. Supported by state-of-the-art warehouse and automation technology, approximately 10 million items will be processed and shipped annually on over 13,000 square meters. Innovative processes with high quality standards and high technical performance enable optimized delivery services in both retail and e-commerce.
ebp-consulting is acting as general planner for logistics, technology, and architecture in this project. The architectural services have been provided by our long-standing partner company, Architekturbüro Wende. Starting with an early feasibility study for the project, the rough and detailed planning of the logistics center and the technical tender have already been carried out. In designing the solution and selecting the technology, we followed our standard procedure based on performance and process requirements. As always, the selection of suppliers was neutral. The award process was carried out by us together with Betty Barclay. TGW Logistics Group was selected as the general contractor for technology. GOLDBECK Südwest GmbH is acting as the general contractor for construction.
On November 4, 2024, the groundbreaking ceremony for the project took place at the Nußloch site as part of a get-together. The complete implementation of the logistics center is planned for the next two years, with the first deliveries scheduled for the third quarter of 2026. ebp-consulting will accompany the further implementation phases until successful commissioning.
