Our approach to logistics benchmarking
We recreate the real logistics of companies in a data model (data twin), regardless of whether it involves warehouse logistics, production logistics, or intralogistics, for example in order picking or staging. This provides us with a well-founded insight into the quality and excellence of your logistics processes. We generally use our specially developed MTM model library, the ebp tool ‘MTM-easy’, which contains a large number of logistics modules and has been proven in numerous projects across various industries.
A systematic approach to logistics benchmarking is essential so that the results can be reused. Our approach varies depending on the topic, but basically always consists of the following steps:
- Premises: Define premises such as working hours, distribution times, etc.
- MTM modules: Store the desired MTM modules (MTM-1 / UAS / MTM logistics)
- Quantity structure: Integrate the quantity structure for later calculation of employee utilization
- Processes: Set up processes and process evaluation based on MTM modules refer to MTM modules to obtain time values
- Calculation: Link the premises, quantity structure, and processes to obtain the number of employees, including utilization.
A key added value of our tool-based ebp approach for companies is that we can quickly and cost-effectively make initial informed statements about the state of your logistics with very little effort and time.
